Rescue is truly a labor of love. Without donations from generous people with a deep love for this wonderful breed, we would surely be out of “business”. While we are an all-volunteer organization, there are many expenses incurred with each dog we rescue, the obvious being complete vet exams, spay/neuter, vaccines, deworming, microchip, heartworm tests and preventative, and fecal tests. And that is for the healthy dogs. Oftentimes, there are additional costs for antibiotics, dentals, flea treatments, heartworm treatments, boarding costs, etc. Our adoption fees do not cover the average cost per dog, and that is why our donors are so important.
