FOSTER a GSP – Opening your home to a homeless GSP, whether for 3 weeks or 3 months, is an incredibly rewarding experience. We provide for all vet care, and foster homes are asked to provide food, some basic work on house manners, socialization opportunities for the dog, and lots of love. As a foster for GSP Care of Ohio, you would also be directly involved in the placement of the dog(s) in your care into their permanent homes. In many cases, the adopting families will maintain contact with the foster family, trading e-mails, photos and stories. While most people think that they could never foster because it would be far too painful to give up the dog when it is adopted, our foster families feel more like they have gained an extended GSP-family through fostering. If you are interested in fostering, please complete our foster application.
VOLUNTEER – Are you willing to help transport dogs, go to pounds to identify and assess GSPs, do home checks in your area, make phone calls, write and send thank you notes, take dogs to rescue events, or help work on fundraisers? If so, please complete our volunteer application.

DONATE – Items we would love to have donated are: dog crates, leashes and collars, dog treats, dog toys, dog dishes, dog beds, grooming supplies (shampoo, nail clippers, brushes), towels, phone cards, and anything else to make the dog’s lives better and help keep our costs down.
